ORDER OF THE DAY
Fellow troops,
In light of the existential challenges facing our nation, we commemorate, on the occasion of Resistance and Liberation Day, a national milestone that marked a shining chapter in Lebanon’s history, embodying the Lebanese people’s attachment to their land, sovereignty, and national dignity in the face of the Israeli occupation.
Today, we honor the sacrifices of the martyrs and all those who contributed to protecting the homeland, drawing from that chapter a spirit of resilience, unity, and hope for a more stable and prosperous future for all Lebanese citizens.
Fellow troops,
We continue to endure the repercussions of the ongoing Israeli aggression and the devastation it has caused, including the deaths and injuries of thousands across various regions, particularly in the South, alongside the continued occupation of Lebanese territory. Amid complex circumstances and grave dangers, the Army is exerting every possible effort to mitigate the impact of this aggression and to stand by the citizens, especially those who have been displaced and those who remain steadfast in their homes. At the same time, it continues to carry out its security missions, including combating terrorism and organized crime, apprehending wanted individuals and those who threaten public security, as well as securing and protecting the northern and eastern borders.
Remain steadfast in your mission, uphold your morale, and maintain constant readiness. Be assured that civil peace and national unity are among the strongest safeguards for Lebanon and its stability, sustained by the Army’s steadfastness and determination. Attempts to undermine the institution or question its role, whether through defamation and unfounded allegations of negligence or through sectarian and regional rumors and false claims that serve the interests of Lebanon’s adversaries, will not deter it from continuing to carry out its duties.
Our message is clear: the Army stands as an impenetrable shield against any attempts or conspiracies aimed at undermining internal stability and civil peace. With the steadfastness of its servicemen and the sacrifices of its martyrs and wounded, it remains a strong, cohesive force, devoted to safeguarding national unity.
Fellow troops,
Your performance, dedication, and sense of duty stand as a true model of patriotism for all to follow.
On this occasion, our hope remains firmly anchored in the restoration of every inch of our land, while the Lebanese people continue, through their sacrifices, to embody the highest examples of will, determination, and resilience.
I salute your strength of will despite the difficulties of this critical period and the harshness of the circumstances.
Remain, as I have always known you, a source of pride for your leadership and for the Lebanese people, and a trusted pillar in the eyes of both brotherly and friend nations.
Through your strength and resilience, hope endures for a brighter future for Lebanon and its people.
Yarzeh, on 22/05/2026
General Rodolph Haykal, Army Commander in Chief
