التنمية تكافح الإرهاب

ليس الإرهاب جريمة عشوائية من أي نمط أو دافع، إنما هو ظاهرة عالمية تُوَلِّدُها أسباب عقائدية وفكرية واجتماعية واقتصادية؛ وتأتي هذه الأخيرة في طليعة المسبّبات، إذ إنّ بؤر الفقر والمعاناة الاجتماعية تمثل أرضًا خصبة تتمدّد فيها الأفكار المتطرفة الحاقدة على المجتمع، بخاصةٍ إذا وَجَدَتْ هذه الأفكار من يمهّد لها وينشرها ويزرعها في عقول الشباب.

من هنا تُعدُّ التنمية وسيلة فاعلة لمحاربة الإرهاب وقطع دابره قبل أن يولد، وهي بذلك تتفوّق في الفاعلية على الأسلوبَين الأمني والعسكري، لأنها تحفظ الأرواح وتُخفّف إلى حد كبير من التكلفة المادية.

لذا ينبغي الالتفات إلى مواضع البؤس والعوز، ورعاية المحتاجين، لا سيما المراهقين والشباب، ومدّهم بالإمكانات المادية، وتأمين المؤسسات التعليمية والثقافية، ومؤسسات الرعاية النفسية للمحتاجين منهم. هكذا تحتضن الدولة أبناءها وتحصّنهم من الانجرار وراء العنف والجريمة بمختلف أشكالها، وتحيي فيهم روح الانتماء الى الوطن والإيمان بالعيش المشترك. ولا شك في أن بوسع كل منا المساهمة إيجابًا على هذا الصعيد ضمن وظيفته وبيئته، ونشر الفكر المنفتح، والوعي إلى خطر الإرهاب الفتنوي، فالوطن جسم متكامل قوي بقوة أبنائه واتحادهم، واهتمامهم بالقضايا المصيرية الملحّة.

Development fights terrorism

Terrorism is not a random crime lacking any motive or pattern, it is global phenomena that initiated through ideological, intellectual, social and economic reasons and perhaps the economic factor comes at the forefront of these causes since poverty and social suffering create a fertile ground where malevolent and radical ideas spread especially if these ideas find the right sides willing to disseminate them and put them in the heads of the youth generation.

Consequently, development is considered an efficient means to nip terrorism in the bud and thus its effectiveness goes way beyond the effectiveness of the military and security methods since it preserves lives and greatly decreases the material cost.

Therefore, it is crucial to take notice of the areas suffering from misery and distress and start providing care to those in need, particularly the teenagers and youth generation. It is equally important to provide the youth with the financial capabilities in addition to establishing educational and cultural institutions as well as those offering psychological assistance. This would be the correct path taken by the State to embrace its sons and to immunize them against the dangers of being drawn in the stream of violence and crime. This track reinforces in the hearts of citizens the feelings of belonging and the belief in coexistence. It goes beyond doubt that each one of us is able to positively contribute to the success of this orientation through his work and in his environment by spreading the ideas of openness and recognizing that terrorism is a threat that ignites sedition. The Nation is thus a unified and integrated front thanks to the steadfastness and unity of the Lebanese people and their keen interest in their urgent and critical challenges.
