المرآة الصّافية

مرآة صافية ورؤية واضحة، وطريق طويل اعتاد على الخطوات الجريئة، لم يخلُ الطريق من الخطر يومًا، لكنّه لم يخلُ بالمقابل من الإقدام والبطولة، ومن تقديم الذّات على مذبح الوطن في كل مرّة دعا فيها داع، أو علا نفير. المرآة الصّافية تلك التي نرى فيها الوطن في تفاصيله الكاملة، وفي جمالاته وتنوّعه. هذا ما نقتطفه من أمر اليوم في رقمه الأوّل مع قائد الجيش:

"مؤسستكم هي مرآة الشّعب اللبناني التي تعكس تنوّعه، وإرادته في الإنصهار الوطني..."

وليس أدلّ على ذلك من الوحدة الوطنيّة التي ترى في الجيش زرعها وحصادها. رجاله من كل محلّة وحيّ وقرية ومن كلّ عائلة. من كلّ الشرائح الاجتماعية في شمال البلاد وجنوبها، وفي ساحلها وجبلها وسهولها المأهولة بالسواعد العاملة، والنباتات الواعدة، وفي المكتبات والمشاغل وأماكن العبادة والصّلاة.

لا يحقّق العسكريون تلك الدلالة من خلال التحاقهم الرّمزي بالثكنة فحسب، إنّما من خلال أدائهم، وتعبهم وإنتاجهم، ومن خلال تنفيذهم المهمّات، واستشهاد بعضهم في أكثر من معركة وموقعة، من دون التّفريق بين منطقة وأخرى، أو مجموعة سكّانية وأخرى، وكم من معركة عنونها شهيد من هنا، وميّزها شهيد من هناك، فهبّت عائلة الأوّل معلنة للعائلة الثّانية: شهيدكم شهيدنا، وقالت الثانية: لا بل إن أخوة شهيدنا هم بدائل شهيدكم، يقومون مقامه، يحملون شارة قبّعته، ويتمشّقون سلاحه دفاعًا عن الوطن، بمواطنيه ومؤسساته، وأحلام أطفاله.

وتتجلى الصورة أيضًا في تلك المسيرة المعرفيّة النّاشطة في الجيش، تعاملًا مع التقدّم العلمي، والإختراعات والأساليب المبتكرة على صعيد الاتّصالات والبحوث والدراسات والتجارب، إضافةً إلى التّفسير الصحيح للماضي، والتّخطيط الواعي للمستقبل، وهذه جميعًا هي الصّفات التي يتميّز بها المجتمع اللبناني بأجياله كافة.

The lucid mirror

A lucid mirror, a clear view and a long road that is accustomed to bold steps. This road was never free of dangers. Nevertheless, it was never free of bravery, heroism and offering one’s life at the altar of the nation every time circumstances required or emergency bells sounded. It is a lucid mirror in which we can see the nation in all its details, beauties and diversities. This is what we can summarize from the Armed Forces Commander’s first order of the day: “your institution is the mirror of the Lebanese people that reflects its diversity and will for national fusion…”

The most pertinent example of this fact is national unity that exists clearly in the army. Its troops come from all regions, villages, streets and families. They come from all social fractions in the north and the south of country, from the coast, mountains and valleys that are inhabited by working hands, promising plants as well as libraries, workshops and houses of prayers.

Soldiers do not achieve this fusion only through their symbolic enrollment in the barrack, but through their performance, effort, productivity, conducting missions and the martyrdom of some of them in several battles. Martyrdom does not differentiate one region from another or one population from another. Countless are the battles in which one martyr from one region, and another one from another region both fell, and the family of the first martyr announced eagerly to the second’s family: your martyr is our martyr and the latter replied: Nay, our martyr’s siblings are substitutes for your martyr, taking his place, holding his hat’s badge and in their hands his weapon in defense of the nation with all its citizens, institutions and dreams of its youngsters.

This picture is also clear in the active journey in the army in order to keep up with scientific development and innovative styles and inventions at the level of communication, research, studies and experiments. It is also crystallized through the correct explanation of the past and conscious planning for the future, all are characteristics that qualify the Lebanese community in all its generations.

The Armed forces commander said: “your institution is the mirror of the Lebanese people…”
