Raids and Arrest of Individuals Involved in an Incident Resulting in the Death of a Citizen

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

Following an incident that involved an exchange of gunfire on March 18, 2026, in the area of Al Abdeh – Akkar, which resulted in the death of a citizen, and after surveillance and security monitoring operations, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate carried out raids in the area on March 24, 2026.

The patrol arrested the citizen (A.K.) along with his two brothers (M.K.) and (AA.K.) for their involvement in the incident, and seized weapons and military ammunition in their possession.

The seized items were handed over, and an investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
