From Zahle to Akkar and Baalbek: Army Arrests Three Individuals and Seizes Weapons and Ammunition

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

An Army unit raided in Jalala – Zahle following an altercation involving gunfire on 29 July 2026, which resulted in the injury of a citizen. The operation led to the arrest of the wanted individual (N.Z.). Weapons, ammunition, and military equipment were seized in his possession.

In a separate operation, another Army unit arrested citizen (AA.A.) at the Chedra checkpoint – Akkar for possessing a military weapon and a quantity of ammunition.

Another Army unit also arrested citizen (AA.AA.) at the Douris checkpoint – Baalbek for opening fire.

The seized items were handed over, and the investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining individuals involved in the altercation.
